Axial marine fan with duct.
Airfoil blades made of aluminium alloy. Hub made of epoxy-painted aluminium.
Direct drive with explosion-proof electric motor.Technical Note
These axial fans are suitable for naval industry, therefore they are built with a thick hot-dip galvanized carbon steel drum to be better resistant to the oxidation due to the humidity of the marine environment. Nuts and bolts are made of stainless steel A2 (AISI 304).
The impeller with aluminium alloy airfoil blades allows a high energy-effienciency level for the helical fan. These fans can also be supplied in ATEX version for potentially explosive atmospheres (holds, engine rooms…).

Technical Department
This kind of marine fan is a variation of the standard arrangement for the naval sector, made of construction materials which can resist vibrations during the sailing, even by slight sea. The swing-out design is recommended for an easier and faster maintenance.
Along with these fans we can also supply marine mushroom vents.
WEG electric motors can be also provided with space heaters, enhanced mechanical protections against water infiltrations, specific coatings for the marine environment, according to the cycle C5-M Very High, in compliance with DIN EN ISO 12944-2 standards.
